Kafka DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled engineer to develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, and system administration in a Linux environment. This role involves working with Confluent Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS to build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of the Kafka platform, including design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Automate platform operations using Ansible, Python, or similar tools.
• Optimize Kafka performance in AWS environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expertise in Kafka, Kafka Connect, KSQL, and KStreams.
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, Schema Registry, and Kubernetes.
• Strong background in AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC).
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Shell).
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and optimizing performance.
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years of AWS DevOps experience and Python development.

Preferred:

• Certifications in Confluent Kafka and/or Kubernetes.
