We are seeking a hands-on Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a HUD-supported, project-based affordable housing community. This role requires a leader who can manage a dynamic environment, support residents with diverse needs, and build strong partnerships with local agencies.

The ideal candidate will bring experience with OneSite and RealPage, strong team leadership skills, and thorough knowledge of HUD compliance, project-based Section 8 programs, and affordable housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with HUD and affordable housing regulations.
  • Supervise and support on-site staff, fostering a professional and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage resident relations, addressing issues with professionalism and compassion, including residents with mental health and special needs.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and community partners to ensure resident and staff safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintain a secure office environment, and oversee vendor/contractor relationships.
  • Monitor occupancy, lease compliance, and rent collections.
  • Complete required reporting accurately and on time (HUD, compliance, and internal reports).
  • Lead and train staff on OneSite and RealPage systems, rent calculations, and compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of property management experience with affordable housing or HUD-supported communities.
  • Proficiency in OneSite and RealPage property management software.
  • Knowledge of HUD project-based programs, Section 8, and affordable housing compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising on-site staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and local agencies, including law enforcement.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Salary: $65,000 – $73,000 annually, based on experience
  • Benefits package offered
