Maintenance Technician (Contract-to-Hire)

💰 $20–$25/hour (DOE)

*MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE BETWEEN AUSTIN AND SAN ANTONIO DAILY**

**MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, MILEAGE WILL BE REIMBURSED**

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Austin region team. This position reports to the Director of Property Management and Maintenance. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, can work independently with minimal supervision, and consistently completes projects from start to finish.

Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle for travel between properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform light repairs and adjustments on plumbing systems
• Repair interior and exterior finishes, including drywall
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of properties
• Repair and maintain water pumps and fountains
• Manage time efficiently while working independently
• Complete assigned tasks thoroughly and on schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Reliable personal vehicle required
• Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience (commercial environment preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of plumbing and electrical experience
• HVAC certification strongly preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete reports
• Physically capable of:
  • Stooping and climbing
  • Lifting 40 lbs or more

Work Area

• Must be able to work throughout the Austin–San Antonio metropolitan area
